As the CEO and Founder of Republic Business Credit, Stewart employs over 20 years of commercial finance experience in executive roles, from across two continents. Stewart has served on the Data & Advocacy committee for the SF Net organization and is a former Board member of the International Factoring Association. Stewart has an MBA from Aston University in the UK, he also holds a Professional Diploma in Asset Based Working Capital Finance from the Institute of Financial Services in the UK. Stewart resides in New Orleans.
Heading the Origination, Underwriting and Marketing departments as President and Chief Commercial Officer of Republic Business Credit, Robert puts into practice more than 15 years of commercial finance experience. Currently, Robert serves the President of the Secured Finance Network, previously serving as the President of the Turnaround Management Association & President of the Secured Finance Network’s Midwest Chapters. Robert is a graduate of the University of Chicago and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Robert was awarded the SF Net’s Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2016 along with Night of Shining Stars Award by the Chicago finance and restructuring community. Robert resides in Chicago with his family.
As a member of the board, Matt leads client management staff across Republic’s suite of products, bringing more 20 years of middle market lending experience including being the CEO & founder of a nationwide commercial finance company, Division President of a Fortune 100 firm. Matt serves as a board member of the Secured Finance Network and its California Chapter of the SF Net. Matt has a BA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Matt resides in California with his family.
As a member of the management team, with more than 20 years of bank and non-bank commercial lending experience, Danika manages the recourse factoring portfolio, reporting into the COO. In recognition of her efforts in portfolio management, Danika was awarded the SFNet Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2017 and Top Women in Asset Based Lending by the ABF Journal in 2022. As an adept team leader, she has enjoyed serving as moderator on multiple SFNet panels. Danika graduated from Xavier University in Louisiana and resides in New Orleans with her family.
Melissa is a member of the Senior Management Team with more than 20 years of operational, credit and risk experience in commercial finance. Heading the Risk Management team at Republic Business Credit, Melissa helps to secure solid portfolio performance. Prior to joining Republic in its founding year, Melissa oversaw the operations, underwriting and legal functions as Midwest region head for a global commercial finance company. A Chicago native, and having attended the University of Illinois, Melissa now resides with her family in New Orleans. Melissa was awarded as Leading Women in Secured Finance by the SF Net in 2019.
As a member of the senior management team, Diane has more than 10 years of commercial lending experience across accounting, operations and underwriting at Republic. Diane received an Accounting Degree from the University of New Orleans. Previously, Diane was a two year captain and Collegiate Champion soccer goalkeeper at James Madison University in Virginia, where she graduated with a BBA in Finance.
Leading the Western Regional Sales Team for Republic, Jason combines over 25 years of Asset Based Lending in both bank and non-bank institutions including credit management, client management and a perennial top originator earning several awards over the years. He has served on the Executive Board for the Southern California chapter of the TMA and is an active member of the Association of Corporate Growth and the California chapter of the Secured Finance Network. Jason has a BA in Economics with an emphasis in Business from University of California at Santa Barbara.
Eric brings over 15 years of experience in Factoring and Asset-Based Lending to his role as the Midwest Regional Representative for Republic. He is actively involved in several industry organizations, serving on the sponsorship committee for the Turnaround Management Association (Midwest) and sitting on the board of directors for the Secured Finance Network (Midwest). Additionally, Eric is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth as well as Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries.
A proud alumnus of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois (Go Braves!), Eric was recognized as an “Emerging Leader” by the TMA Midwest in 2020. He also served as President of the SFNet Midwest in 2023. Eric resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife and two children.
Representing Republic in the Gulf Coast region, Leigh joined the team in 2011 bringing over 20 years of professional sales experience. Leigh focuses on providing both factoring and asset-based solutions. Active in the local community, she currently serves as the President of the Louisiana Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, a member of the Association of Corporate Growth and is actively involved with the Secured Finance Network. Leigh was awarded as Top Women in Secured Finance by the SF Net in 2022 and ABF Journal Top Women in Asset-Based Lending in 2024. Originally from Louisiana, Leigh is a graduate of the University of Alabama and now resides in New Orleans.
Representing Republic in the California Market with a focus on the consumer packaged goods, apparel and textile industries, Tae brings over 20 years of experience in the factoring, credit and commercial finance industry. Tae joined Republic in 2020, bringing his extensive knowledge in factoring, asset-based lending, client management and collection only facilities. Tae is an active member of the SFNet California Chapter along with being certified by the International Factoring Association.
Representing the Texas market for Republic from its expanding Houston office, William brings over 12 years of experience in asset-based lending and factoring. Before relocating to Houston in 2017, he spent more than four years developing Republic’s presence in the Midwest. William plays a key role in driving company growth and expanding business opportunities across private equity, commercial banking, turnaround management, and strategic partnerships.
William served as the Houston Chapter President of the Secured Financial Network from 2023 to 2024, is a former Director of the TMA Houston Chapter, and is an active member of the Houston ACG Chapter. He was recognized with a 40 Under 40 award by the Secured Financial Network in 2024 and received the “Emerging Leader” award from the Chicago/Midwest TMA Chapter in 2017.
William is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a certification in Leadership Training for High Potentials from NYU Stern.
Representing the Southeast Market for Republic in Atlanta, Georgia; Brian brings close to twenty years of asset-based lending/factoring experience along with commercial banking skills. Brian is responsible for covering the Renasant Bank footprint in addition to the Southeast Region.
Prior to joining Republic in 2024, Brian worked for six years at a non-bank lender in Atlanta, GA and was responsible for account executive and business development for the Southeastern region. After earning an MBA from the University of Georgia, Brian joined a large national bank in their commercial finance group along with spending working in their regional corporate banking group as a banker for the Atlanta metro area.
Brian is an active member in the Secured Finance Network (SFNET) where he is also a member of their content committee. He also serves on the Atlanta Business School Alliance (ABSA) board along with the Atlanta YMCA board, where he heads their Youth Development committee. Brian earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Ayesha joined Republic in 2023 as a Business Development Associate, bringing her sharp analytical skills and strategic thinking to the expanding Houston office. A valued member of our Client Acquisition team, Ayesha provides insightful solutions for lead generation and prospecting in the Southern market. Prior to Republic, Ayesha worked as a Business Analyst after graduating from the University of Texas. In her free time, she enjoys pursuing her interests in travel, cooking, and reading.
Chance joined our Houston office in 2024 as a Business Development Associate, representing the Texas market. He brings a proven track record of success in sales and marketing, specifically with M&A initiatives and international business development. Chance is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and in his free time, he can be found exploring historical sites, enjoying the outdoors, or cheering on the Longhorns.
Leading the underwriting department of our Client Acquisition Team, Brian reports directly to Republic’s President. Brian works with the business development and client management teams to support the onboarding of new client relationships. Bringing over a decade of asset based lending and factoring experience, Brian previously worked as an underwriter and field examiner at both a bank and commercial finance company. Brian graduated from the University of New Orleans. After 3 years in Washington DC, Brian resides back in New Orleans with his wife and family.
As part of the Client Acquisition Team, in the underwriting department, Yoselyn is focused on the onboarding of new client relationships. Yoselyn works with the business development and client management teams to support funding new clients. Prior to joining the underwriting team in 2016, Yoselyn gained experience throughout the credit and operation teams at Republic. She is a member of the Young Leadership Council and an avid FC Barcelona fan. Yoselyn graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans. Yoselyn was awarded Top 40 Under 40 by SF Net in 2021.
As part of the Client Acquisition Team, in the underwriting department, Micaella brings over 10 years of experience in factoring, asset based lending, and project management. Prior to joining the underwriting department, Micaella worked with the risk and operations teams. Micaella works with the business development and client management teams to successfully onboard support funding new clients. She is an avid Chicago sports fan, especially cheering for the Bears. Micaella graduated from Benedictine University in Illinois.
Danielle joined RBC in 2024, bringing 10 years of experience in asset-based lending to Republic. Before joining the underwriting department, she worked as a field examiner at a large national bank. Danielle collaborates closely with business development and client management teams to support new client onboarding and deliver customized funding solutions. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and dog. Danielle graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in Accounting and is proud to call New Orleans home.
Gammie is a Team Leader of the the Traditional Factoring Portfolio in Republic’s Los Angeles office. With over 17 years of experience in the commercial finance industry, Gammie brings a deep understanding of operations, credit, and underwriting to her role. Her expertise spans both bank and non-bank lenders across Los Angeles and New York. Gammie attended the University of Utah and is a member of the Advisory Board at a Los Angeles-based digital advertising agency.
Chad has over 10 years of operational and client management experience across both factoring and asset based lending disciplines of commercial finance. Before joining Republic, he worked as a Collateral Analyst and Relationship Manager with Continental Business Credit. Prior to entering the world of finance, he coached high school baseball for several years. Chad is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, and holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Toya joined the Client Service team in 2015, bringing more than 10 years of factoring experience. Toya is an important part of the client service team that focuses on the funding needs of our clients. Toya manages clients across our staffing, oil field service, transportation and manufacturing industries. Born and raised in New Orleans, Toya attended Southern University of New Orleans and after a 10 year spell in Georgia, she lives back in New Orleans with her family.
Ana joined the Client Service team in 2011, bringing more than 15 years of commercial finance experience in factoring. She supports clients and the recourse factoring portfolio management. Ana reports directly to the portfolio manager and is a founding employee. She resides in New Orleans with her family.
Prior to joining the asset based lending portfolio team in 2021, Bruce was an SVP in our underwriting department. Bruce joined Republic in 2019 and brings more than 10 years of experience managing, underwriting and servicing clients in both asset based lending and factoring. Prior to his career transition to commercial finance, he held various management roles in consumer finance, sales and banking. Bruce is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University.
Christy joined Republic with nearly 30 years of experience providing due diligence, legal documentation, negotiation and closing support for the commercial finance industry, including Asset Based Lending, Lines of Credit and Factoring. Previously, she was the First Vice President of Legal Compliance large bank owned commercial finance company, where she oversaw the legal department.
Christy earned her B.S. in Finance from Southeastern Louisiana University and continues to expand her expertise in the field through courses offered by the Commercial Finance Association and International Factoring Association.
Mirela joined the Client Service Team in 2019, bringing more than 25 years of asset based lending and factoring experience. Previously, she managed the operations and asset based lending departments at various commercial finance companies. Mirela started in forensic accounting as a Field Auditor at Bank Of New York. Having graduated from The University of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Mirela also attended UCLA for finance and forensic accounting studies. Mirela resides in California with her family.
Diane joined Republic in 2019, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the receivable finance, factoring and asset based lending industries. Diane gained her experience by working in and extensively supporting the business development, client management, credit and operations teams. Residing in California, Diane is graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Joining the Client Service team in 2017, Maria was promoted to Account Executive shortly thereafter. Maria brings over 20 years of banking experience across factoring and accounts receivable management. Managing all of the client relationships within the Fast AR Funding division, Maria also supports clients across the entire recourse factoring portfolio. Born in Managua, Nicaragua, Maria resides in Louisiana with her family.
Skip joined the Client Service team in 2022, bringing over 20 years of asset based lending, factoring and client management experience. Reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager, Skip brings his experience from both the bank and non-bank finance company perspective. His experience includes various relationship management, account management and field examiner roles. Skip resides with his family in Louisiana.
Mary joined Republic in 2022 as head of the customer credit department, where she supports our client management teams across the recourse and non-recourse factoring portfolios. Bringing over 20 years of management and credit experience in the factoring, asset based lending, customer and client credit industry, Mary enjoys working with clients and sharing her experience across collection management and customer credit across the apparel and textile industries. Mary enjoys cultural events with her family.
Timothy joined the traditional factoring Client Service team in 2020, bringing over 15 years of experience in factoring, customer credit and apparel industry. Timothy has worked as a customer credit manager, client administrator, account executive and even owned his own retail store. He studied business administration at Cal State University and resides in Los Angeles with his family.
Joining Republic in 2018, Miesha is a Collateral Analyst in the New Orleans Client Service team, working closely with clients and debtors. Miesha is a native resident of New Orleans who enjoys spending time with family and friends. She attended Tulane University, majoring in Sports Medicine.
Jaime is a Collateral Analyst in the New Orleans Client Service team. With over 5 years of experience in the factoring and asset based lending industry, Jaime works closely with clients and debtors. Jaime is a graduate of Nunez Community College with a degree in Science, and lives in New Orleans with her family.
Tasha joined Republic in 2013 in New Orleans in the Operations Department. In 2022 she became the Customer Credit Analyst in the Credit Department, working with clients and customers daily to assist with credit needs. Tasha now resides in Florida with her family.
Nisha is a recent graduate of UC San Diego, where she received her B.A. in Political Science. She handles the day-to-day operations to support the ABL and factoring clients and works closely with the Account Executives in the Los Angeles office. Nisha is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her friends and family in her personal time
Rayna joined Republic in 2019 and directly reports to the Chief Risk Officer helping to secure solid portfolio performance and compliance.
Rayna brings over 10 years of experience in the factoring and asset based lending industry and has worked alongside all team members to provide support for both new and established clients. Rayna currently resides with her family in Oklahoma.
Katherine joined Republic in 2023, bringing over 10 years of accounting experience to the team. While primarily supporting the Controller with accounting tasks, Katherine also contributes to the company’s marketing efforts and coordinates special projects. An active member of the Secured Finance Network, she currently serves on the Emerging Leaders committee. She is also a member of the American Marketing Association and the Social Media Association. Katherine graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2008 and received her MBA from the University of New Orleans in 2010. She resides in New Orleans with her husband and children.
Van was hired in 2024 as Head of Field Examinations and Governance to help further create a stronger, more inclusive environment for serving Republic’s current and prospective clients. She brings with her over two decades of field exam, ABL and Financial institutions lending experience. Van is considered an expert matter in asset-based, factoring, dealer services, tax liens, and peer-to-peer lending. Van’s background in various areas of business such as marketing, human resources, and budgeting provides her with a unique, holistic understanding of business operations, which she leverages to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. Although her position is used to mitigate risk, Van works with clients to help ensure their success and consistently delivers tailored financial solutions to guarantee it. A native of New Orleans, and a graduate of Loyola University, Van is an active volunteer in her community and manages an international all-female travel group, fueling her passion for exploring diverse cultures and fostering connections.
