Stewart Chesters

Prior to founding Republic Business Credit, Stewart worked for a global commercial finance company, for almost 10 years. He commenced his career with the company in the UK, as Operations Director, overseeing one of its larger factoring business units, and was also responsible for M&A activity including integrating the businesses. In 2004 he moved to the North American division as COO, to lead the integration of a factoring division based in Chicago. In 2007, Stewart became CEO of the U.S. and Canadian operations, and a Global Board Director. Preceding his career in commercial finance, Stewart spent 4 years in the government sector commercializing agencies, following 7 years as Managing Director and shareholder of a business services company (which utilized factoring to successfully fund its growth) and managed its scheduled sale, after commencing his career as an accountant / auditor for BDO Seidman. Stewart is a member of the CFA and IFA, previously as a member of the CFA’s Entrepreneurial Finance & Factoring Committee and Board member of the IFA. Stewart is a graduate of Aston University, Birmingham, UK, from which he holds an MBA.

Heading the Sales and Marketing departments for Republic Business Credit, Robert puts into practice more than 10 years of previous commercial finance experience. Prior to joining Republic Business Credit as a managing member, Robert worked for a global commercial finance company, as Head of Sales and Interim Managing Director, leading teams in Chicago and Los Angeles. He is the President of the Midwest Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association and Vice President of Programming for the Turnaround Management Association Midwest Chapter. Robert is also a member of the National CFA’s Executive Committee, serving as Chair of the Young Professional Committee. Robert is a graduate of the University of Chicago and a current member of the EMBA program at Kellogg School of Management. He is also a recipient of the prestigious CFA 40 Under 40 Award for 2016.

Allen E. Frederic Jr.

A founder and CEO of two national commercial finance companies, Allen has over 40 years of commercial banking, asset based lending, and factoring experience. Allen started his career in commercial banking, with his final banking assignment as President/CEO of a New Orleans Bank. Allen is active in a number of organizations including the American Factoring Association where he serves as President, he is also a past Director and Executive Committee Member of the Commercial Finance Association, past Advisory Director of the International Factoring Association, an instructor for both the Commercial Finance Association and International Factoring Association, as well as a past instructor at Louisiana State University School of Banking.

Allen earned both his Bachelor’s degree and MBA from Louisiana State University.

As a 20 year commercial lending and financing professional, Tom delivers to the Midwest market an array of sales and marketing, relationship management, credit and operational experience.  Most recently in roles as a Director of Underwriting and Regional Sales Executive with a national factoring company, Tom has possessed front line and leadership capacities within the vertical markets of factoring, asset based lending, banking, equipment leasing, as well as loan mediation and consulting.  A lifelong resident of the Midwest, Tom is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, and resides in the Chicago area with his wife and two sons.

A professional with over 35 years of experience in the receivables finance, asset based lending and commercial finance industries, Fred represents Republic Business Credit on the West Coast. During his career, Fred has served as Chairman of the Commercial Finance Conference of California, as a Board Member on the City of Hope Professions for Finance and Apparel and is a member of the Textile Association of Los Angeles and the California Fashion Association.

A Louisiana native and relationship sales professional, Leigh has over 14 years of professional sales experience having spent 9 years in various sales positions in the Pharmaceutical industry. Prior to that Leigh was engaged in wholesale sales as well as recruiting where her focus was in the business and professional group. Leigh is a graduate of the University of Alabama.

Candice has over 12 years in Banking specializing in small business banking and branch management.   Candice’s career began with Washington Mutual in Houston where she was promoted as Assistant Branch Manager.  Joining Chase as a Branch Manager in 2006 afforded Candice the ability to develop extensive relationships and exceptional experience in providing need based lending solutions. Candice spent the last four years managing a broad portfolio of business in Business Banking working with over 150 of Chase’s clients by way of providing cash management facilities such as, business term loans, lines of credit, and equipment finance solutions. Candice is a resident of Houston, TX.  She holds a BS degree in Business Management. Candice is active in the Church without Walls Business Network and enjoys working with entrepreneurial business owners.

Representing the Midwest region for Republic Business Credit, Eric has 7 years experience in Factoring and Asset Based Lending. He is the co-chair of the Entertainment Committee for the Turnaround Management Association Chicago Chapter, and the co-chair of the Young Professionals Committee within the Chicago Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association. Eric is a graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.

Prior to joining the Republic team, William worked at a global commercial finance company, as a Business Development Officer, after commencing his career in underwriting. He is currently the co-chair of the Communication Committee for the Chicago Turnaround Management Association. Will is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

With more than 15 years operational, credit and risk experience in commercial finance, Melissa heads the Risk Management team at Republic Business Credit, helping to secure the low losses Republic has seen to date. Prior to joining Republic in it’s founding year, Melissa oversaw the underwriting and legal functions, for the Midwest region of a global commercial finance company. A Chicago native, and having attended the University of Illinois, Melissa now resides with her family in New Orleans.
